Janie Mae Rachels, 96, passed away April 22, 2017 at Silver Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Camden, AR. She was born December 20, 1920 to Thomas and Billie Ola Gregory. She married Charles Lentz and became the mother of Derrell and Bobby Lentz. She later married Ray Rachels and lived in Dallas, TX. She did home care nursing for many years.

She is survived by her sons, Derrell Lentz and his wife, Donna of Camden, AR and Bobby Lentz and his wife, Maxine of Sebewaing, MI; six grandchildren, Douglas Lentz, Julie Barker, Joy Lentz, Jeff Lindsey, Jamie Robertson and Stephen Lindsey and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Edward Gregory of Grand Prairie, TX and Lawrence Gregory of Winfield, MO as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rachels was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Lentz and her second husband, Ray Rachels; her parents; and siblings, Cullis, Ellis, Marie, Thomas, Dale and Buford.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-7:30 Monday, April 24, 2017. Graveside services will be 2:00 Tuesday, April 25, 2017 with Wade Totty officiating followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
