Pauline Dunn Waldrip was welcomed into heaven May 21, 2012. She was born in Hampton, AR to Bunk and Marie Dunn on February 8, 1922. Pauline married Dewitt Waldrip on February 17, 1945 and together they had four children. Pauline was a nurse at Ouachita Hospital for many years before going to work for Dr. J. B. Jameson.
She was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Meme.” She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed attending Westside Methodist Church, playing cards, family gatherings and tending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt; grandson Dustin Stroope; brothers Eugene Dunn, Guy Dunn, Raymond Dunn, Edward Dunn and John Harvey Dunn; sisters Mary Lee Harrison and Betty Joyce Bledsoe.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Stroope (Richard), Sharon Merritt (Bud); sons Larry Waldrip and Don Waldrip (Shirley); sister Irene Bass (Bobby); brothers Jimmy Dale Dunn (Glenda) and Jerry Dunn (Audrey); five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Services will be 2:00 Wednesday at the funeral home with Larry Goza officiating followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
