Obituary:
Mr. James Kelly VanWinkle, 72, of Bradford departed this life Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was born March 27, 1944 in Bradford to the late Harold Junior and Lucy Jane (Helms) VanWinkle.
James was a family man and his life revolved around taking care of his family and helping those in need. He was a police officer in Bradford back in the 70's and his nickname was Kellogg's. James enjoyed hunting, but he quit after he raised a deer as a pet.
James is survived by three sons, James Ray Vanwinkle, Gary Wayne VanWinkle and wife Kay, and Terrie VanWinkle and wife Amy; one daughter, Paula (VanWinkle) Sanford; three sisters, Sherry Jane (VanWinkle) Tims and husband Sandy, Renda Shelly (VanWinkle) Medlock and husband Steve, and Millie Ann (VanWinkle) Steele and husband Jacky; eleven grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Schumann, Tonya Sandford, Kelly (Melissa) VanWinkle, Kaine VanWinkle, Payton (Lexi) VanWinkle, Clayton, Katelon, and Dalton VanWinkle, Leon (Lisa) Baugh, Travis Baugh, and Shannon (Robert) Dunn; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee Schumann, Levi, Mason, and Lillian Baugh, Jeremiah Kelly, Joel Wayne VanWinkle, Diamond and Robbie Dunn; several nieces, nephews, family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann (Hamby) VanWinkle; two sisters, Kathy Ann VanWinkle and Carol Ann VanWinkle, and his parents.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Church of God in Bradford with Bro. Eddie Dotson officiating.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Bradford Memorial Funeral Home of Bradford, Arkansas.
