Robert Lee Brinkley, Sr. 73, of Searcy, died Wednesday, June 30. He was born December 3, 1936 in Greenbrier, Arkansas, the son of Jeet and Eula Powell Brinkley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Brinkley; a brother, Carroll Brinkley; a sister, Thurma Jean Brinkley. He is survived by a son, Robert Lee Brinkley, Jr.; four daughters, Donna Christine Edom and her husband John, Robbie Lynne Graves and her husband Scott, Bettye Sue Fox and her husband Mark, and Kathi Jo Mackey and her husband Danny; six grandchildren, Jonathan Edom, Katlin Edom, Miles Davis, Chuck Starks, Ashley Fox, Alyssa Gibson and Jordan Watts; a sister, Eula Mae Schmidt; a brother, James Brinkley; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Billy Weaver; also by two great grandchildren, Alexis Edom and Aiden Gibson.
Mr. Brinkley loved farming, fishing, and tinkering. He loved his family and never met a stranger. He was a man who always kept busy.
