Richard "Dick" Fenwick, Sr., 94, of Camden, AR passed away quietly Monday, February 1, 2016. He was born February 22, 1921 in Paducah, Kentucky to Thomas B. and Della L Fenwick. He was a graduate of Hope High School. Dick was married for 50 years to Dorothy Bauer Fenwick. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Henry Fenwick of Hope, Arkansas.

Mr. Fenwick is survived by 2 sons Richard "Dick" Fenwick, Jr. (Peggy) of Camden, Daniel Fenwick of Florida, and a daughter, Deborah Ponder of Benton. A brother, Thomas B. Fenwick, of Hope, grandchildren: Lynley Summers of Camden, Tracy Isley (Ben) of Plano, Texas, and Daniel Fenwick (Janessa) of Brooklyn, New York. Great granddaughters, Jessica Summers of Austin, Texas and Emerson Isley of Plano, Texas.

Mr. Fenwick was a loving husband, father and a long time business man of Camden. He was the manager/owner of Malco Theaters and Razorback Drive In. He served on the Camden City Board as Assistant Mayor, 12 years on the Ouachita County Quorum Court and 10 terms as jail inspector of the 13th Judicial District. He was a member of the Ouachita County Draft Board, He was on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Camden Country Club and the Tri-State Theater Association. He was elected Showman of the Year by the Arkansas Theater Association in 1976.

He was past president of the United Way, Kiwanis Club, Men's Golf Association, Ouachita County Medical Center Auxiliary and Fenco, Inc. Dick was an Eagle Scout as a child and was even made a Kentucky Colonel. He was an avid golfer and spent many hours with family and friends enjoying the game. He was the Senior Oil Belt Champion in 1977.

Mr. Fenwick is a veteran of World War II and served in the south pacific where he received a Philippine Liberation Ribbon and one Bronze Star. Mr. Fenwick said " He left Hope, Arkansas for the war and after 3 years of war he was in Japan". Mr. Fenwick is a 63 year member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Camden, Arkansas.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ouachita Nursing and Rehab Center and Dr. Martin for all the care given to their father.

A Graveside service will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Ouachita County Medical Center Auxiliary, P.O. Box 797, Camden, AR 71711.
