Dorothy (Dottie) Lorraine Livsey Togami., age 73, of Camden died Thursday in New Orleans, LA. Dorothy was born on August 1, 1937 in Braceville, Illinois to Robert and Eunice Weldon Livsey. She has been a very active individual all of her life and has enjoyed doing many things. She started out as a secretary for a vibration lab at White Sands Proving Ground and then as a secretary for the Criminal Investigation group at White Sands Proving Ground. She also sold Tupperware during this time. She then worked for the city of Ridgecrest in California as an assistant to the city manager. In Gahanna, Ohio she volunteered as the church secretary for a number of years. When in Florissant, MO she obtained a license to sell real estate and worked for Ron Vaughan as long as she was there. In Camden, she worked at the Credit Shop for a while and then worked for First South as a loan processor and for First National and First Bank also. She began helping in the antique mall and found her last love which was dealing in antiques and flea market items. She loved "junking" or looking for items to buy and sell. She did all of these things well and at the same time found time to do things for others whenever she could. She kept foster kids in St. Louis, she was on the board of directors of the crisis center when it first started up, and she has been active in the Church of Christ since she was a college student. She was always active. In the evenings when most of us would sit and watch TV, she would be watching TV and crocheting or knitting or sewing. When going places where there was going to be a wait like doctors offices, she would always have her knitting bag so she could be doing something. Her love for everyone was demonstrated by all she did for others all her life. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. All of us are thankful that she was a faithful Christian and will look forward to being with her again.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eunice Weldon Livsey. She is survived by her husband, Joe Togami, her son, Timothy Togami and wife Julia, her daughter DeVonne Togami and husband David Bishop, 3 brothers Robert LaVerne Livsey and Joyce Langdon, Elmer (Buzz) Livsey and wife Betty, and Donald Livsey and wife Gloria, grandsons, Brian Bishop and Casey Bishop, grandaughters Jennifer Pierce, Rachel Pierce and Carissa Togami and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Maul Road Church of Christ with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. To sign the online guest register visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
