Joe Togami, age 83, of Hot SPRINGS ,ARK
He was born on June 9, 1935 in French, New Mexico, the son of the late Kameo Togami and Suye So Togami. On September 25, 1959, he married Dorothy “Dottie” Togami.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife of 51 years, Dottie Togami; four brothers, Henry, Art, Donald, and Jim Togami; and two sisters, Susie Tamura and Rose Tamura.
He was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ. Joe worked as a mechanical engineer. He loved spending time outdoors, especially wetting a hook at his favorite fishing spot.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and wife Julia Togami of Hot Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Devonne Togami and husband Dave Bishop of Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren, Carissa Togami, Jennifer Brimhall, Rachel Peters, Brian Bishop, and Casey Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Brimhall, Bailey Peters, and Lucas Bishop; brother Paul Togami of Wheaton, Illinois; sister Marie Nakayama or Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Airport Road Church of Christ, Hot Springs, with Michael Cox officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Camden.
