On the 12th day of February 1918 Mrs. Lovisa Stanton departed this life. On the following day funeral services were held at the residence on South 4th St. in this city, conducted by Rev. A.O. Greenleaf, after which her remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery beside her husband, who preceded her some eleven years ago. A large assemblage attended these services and their beautiful floral offerings were tokens of esteem and respect for a departed friend. Lovisa Hanson was born in Bartlett, Washington county, Ohio Aug. 10th, 1844 and was married to Schooley Stanton December 31st, 1861. They moved to Gardner, Kansas in February 1864 and came to Rogers, Ark. in February 1881. Three children, Robt. A., Miss Ida and Enos E., all of this city, survive them. Mrs. Stanton was reared in a Quaker home but united with the Presbyterian church of this city about twenty-three years ago and has always lived a consecrated christian life. She was active in all branches of church work as long as health permitted, was the soul of devotion to her family and friends, preeminently consistent in all things and possessed of the sublime attributes of charity and good will.
