Paul N. Calkins, 69, died January 17, 2018 at his home in Camden, AR. He was born January 4, 1949 to John N. Calkins and Florence (Lamont) Calkins in Marion, OH.

Mr. Calkins was a 1967 graduate of Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton, OH and a 1971 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He worked as a satellite navigator on oil exploration ships in the North Sea and off the West Coast of Africa, and later as a seismic systems analyst of oil exploration data in the Sultanate of Oman.

He returned to Camden in 1998 to care for his aging parents. He is survived by a sister, Sister Mary Lynne Calkins, of the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Calkins, and a brother, John L. Calkins.

He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Camden, AR, Knights of Columbus, Camden Country Club, and the Men’s Golf Association.

A memorial service will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 2:00PM with visitation beginning at 1:00PM. Committal Service at Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church, 202 N Adams, Camden, AR 71701 or Sisters of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, IN 47036.
