Hazel R. Cole, 90, passed away June 23, 2017. She was born May 17, 1927 in Sparkman, AR to Allen and Annie Roberts. Mrs. Cole was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Camden, AR and attended Sparkman High School. She was retired from IPCO Bag-Pak after 44 years of service. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, working with her yard and flowers, quilting, and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Bedford Cole and three sisters, Pauline Beard, Irene Holloway and Wanda Green. She is survived by three children, David Cole of Camden, AR, Donna Horton and her husband, Tim of Camden, AR and Doug Cole and his wife, Rhonda of Arkadelphia, AR; eight grandchildren, Justin Horton and his wife, Jill of Fayetteville, AR, Taylor Horton of Hot Springs, AR, Lindsey Horton of Camden, AR, Douglas Cole, Jr. of Alamogordo, NM, Melanie Cole of Aiken, SC, Annie Cole of Bryant, AR, Josh Rogers and his wife, Kamela of Dyersburg, TN, and Justin Rogers of Arkadelphia, AR and three great-grandchildren.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church with Richard Foster officiating followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1505 California, Camden, AR 71701 (870-836-5382).
