December 1, 1965 - January 12, 2018
Donald Ray Ellis, 52 of Camden, AR died Friday in Little Rock. He was born December 1, 1965 in Camden, AR to the late Willie and Ernestine Elliott Ellis.
He joined Whitest Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, and a trustee of the Greater New Mt. Vernon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Paul Dean Kelly and Rev. Kenneth Barker. Donald graduated from Fairview High School. He worked for Evans St. Clair for 20 years and Berry Controls for 2 years before his health failed. Donald was a family man and Pee Wee Football Coach for the Camden Soaring Eagles Football Team.
Donald married Shelia Kelly on July 24, 1987 and with this union three boys were born, Donald Ellis, Jr., Markale (Maria) Ellis, Untabise Ellis; one brother, Willie Mack Ellis; three sisters, Harriette Ellis, Bridgette Butler (Kevin), Victoria Renix (Andre) all of Atlanta, GA; 6 grandchildren; special aunt, Bobbie Torrence of Camden, AR.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Rickey Ellis and Mark Stanley Ellis.
Donald will be truly missed by a host of cousins, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Whitest Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00PM, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Proctor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. To sign the online guest register visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
