John Charles Stafford, age 81, of Camden died Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was retired from International Paper Company, security at Lockheed and was a US Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Verda Webb Green Stafford; brothers, Edward Stafford, Gerald Stafford, Doug Stafford and Richard Stafford; and sisters, Rebecca Mogle, Maude Evelyn Williams, and Diane Stafford.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jene Stafford of Camden, children, Anita Stafford of Camden, Randy Stafford and wife, Carm of Nashville, TN and Kevin Stafford and wife, Patti of Branson, MO; seven grandchildren, Kris Stafford and wife, Staci of Beeville, TX, Dustin Stafford and wife, Ashley of Camden, Garrett Stafford of Harlingen, TX, Sydny Love and Brooklyn Love both of Memphis, Addie Stafford and Sam Stafford both of Nashville, TN; eight precious great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Stafford of Little Rock; and sister, Winnie Stafford Lester of Camden.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Camden First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Greg Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missions at Camden First Assembly of God or to the Gideons. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
