January 12, 1954 - September 3, 2018
On Monday, September 3rd, 2018, Richard Stroope, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away. Richard was born in Camden, AR on January 12, 1954 to C. S. and Wanda Stroope.
He was a third generation Master Baker who dearly loved his family. Richard was married to Mary for 43 years and had two children, Dustin and Leah, and one granddaughter, Allie.
Richard’s top priority was his family. He never met a stranger, was first in line to help others, loved to travel (especially on his motorcycle) and was always ready for an adventure. His life and legacy can not be summed up in a few paragraphs. He was truly one in a million and will be dearly missed.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, C. S. and Wanda Stroope and his son, Dustin Stroope. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Leah, granddaughter Allie, sisters, Mary Gutierrez and Alice Urbani and her husband Rene and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Visitation will be from 10-11 Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
