John Steven Gathright, Sr., 52, of Smackover, passed away, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1967 in El Dorado, AR
He worked as a foreman for Steve Tolin Construction and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Desert Storm.
John is preceded in death by his by his father, John Buck Gathright.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Hines Gathright; mother, Phala Tolin; step-father, Steve Tolin; daughters, Kelsey Farley, Breanna Hendricks (Justin); sons, John Steven Gathright, Jr., Bryan Lane Gathright; step-daughter, Amanda Cline; grandchildren, Serena Vaughan, Aurora Cline; sister, Tina Ruddell (Stephen); step-brother, Justin Tolin (Susan), step-sister, Paige Garrett (James); niece, Haley Ruddell; nephew, Blake Ruddell; and his beloved dog, Buster Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Cornerstone Church with Rev. Danny Malone officiating. The family will receive guest at the church one hour prior to the service. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 2200 Fort Roots Dr. "VAMC", North Little Rock, AR 72114.
