William Joseph Hart, 79, of West Fork died at his home yesterday afternoon. He was born Dec. 20, 1885 in Alton, Kan., the son of Joseph and Delia Hill Hart. He was a retired stone mason and a former University employe. He was a member of Washington Lodge No. 1, the First Christian Church and was a former Fayetteville resident.
Survivors include the widow, the former Vera Beery, to whom he was married in 1907; two daughters, Mrs. Hilma Ballard of West Fork and Mrs. Hazeldell Grissinger of Tuscon, Ariz.; one son, William Jr. of West Fork; two brothers, Jess of Cushing, Okla. and John of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearle Mangess of Newberg, Ore. and Mrs. Tressa Harmon of San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Watson Mortuary. Burial in West Fork Cemetery.
