FAYETTEVILLE — Lois Mae Hassell Kilpatrick Hampton, 85, of Fayetteville passed away on Feb. 28, 2013, in Anderson, Mo. She was born May 5, 1927, in Granite, Okla., to Leslie and Sylvia Hester Hassell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Arlis Hampton and Adley Kilpatrick; son, Clarence Neel; sisters, Mary Brown and Wilma Kempton; brothers, Ralph Hassell, Macon Hassell, Forest Hassell and Ray Hassell.

Survivors include two sons, Chester Neel and wife, Sharon, of Anderson, Mo., and Ernest Neel and wife, Debbie, of Memphis, Texas; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Neel of West Fork; sisters, Jeanette Mitchell of Springdale and Betty Tedford of West Fork; brothers, James Hassell of Houston, Texas, Bobby Hassell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Charles Hassell of Amarillo, Texas; 12 stepchildren; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at First United Pentecostal Church, 3701 W. Wedington Drive in Fayetteville, at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, with the Rev. John Hassell officiating. Burial will follow at West Fork Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
