Obituary:
Alma Joyce (Holden) Brown, 66, of Denmark, departed this life Sunday, April 16, 2017 at home with family by her side. She was born October 20, 1950 in Denmark, Arkansas, a daughter of Alton and Pearline (Bray) Holden.
Joyce married Charles Brown on September 1, 1978 and together they had one son and one granddaughter. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a loving grandmother. Joyce always put everyone before herself. She hated winter. She loved dogs. Joyce loved being outside watching the wild animals and looking at the greenery on the trees and grass. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory is her husband, Charles Brown, one son, Shawn Brown, one granddaughter, Micheala Brown; her mother, Pearline (Bray) Holden; two brothers, Alvin Holden and wife Joyce, and Steven Holden and wife Ellen all of Denmark; three sisters, Norma Austin and husband Robert of Bald Knob, Arvella Taylor and husband Jerry of Bald Knob, and Linda Edmuson and husband Ken of Judsonia; one special niece, Vanessa; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Joyce is preceded in death by her father, Alton Holden; her first husband, Daniel Ray McGlothlin; and her daughter in law, Brandi Brown.
Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery in Denmark with Bro. Jerry Taylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and will drive in procession to the cemetery.
