Maribeth “Sissy” Stafford, 79 of El Dorado, went to her Heavenly home November 9, 2012, at Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Camden. She was born August 5, 1933, to Smead “Pete” Powell Bradshaw and Bessie Mae Tutt Bradshaw in Camden, AR.
Sissy was a faithful and beloved member of the First Assembly of God Church in El Dorado, and a member of the CWA Union. She worked for ATT/Southwestern Bell as an operator for 30 years, and retired from Brookshires where she worked as a clerk. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed bowling league.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and her loving husband, Gerald William Stafford.
Survivors include her son, William “Brad” Stafford of El Dorado; daughter, Beth Anne Mann, of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters, Carol Dixon of Camden, Joan B. McMahen of Sherwood, AR; granddaughter, Lauren Meghan Merritt of Pine Bluff, AR; four nephews; and three nieces.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Alan Womack and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Camden Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation was held at the church from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
