Wendell L. Power, 56, 4 Vista Drive, Van Buren, died April 15 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 15, 1918, at Nashville, the son of John and Minnie Shuffield Power, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren, Gideons international, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Belle Point Lodge and Amrita Grotto. He had been employed by Wyeth Pharmaceutical Co. since 1948, was a member of Crawford County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol, a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Mitchell Power of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Hart (Ann) Tolson, Texarkana, Tex.; his mother of Springdale; three brothers, Dr. John R. Power, Springdale, Louis R. Power, Lawton, Okla., and Raul H. Power, North Little Rock; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

Memorials may be made to the Wendell L. Power memorial fund at Springdale Memorial Hospital.
