Helen Mae Barber, 76, of Bald Knob, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her home. She was born April 28, 1937 in Monte Vista, Colorado a daughter of the late Albert Clint and Mureil Alene (Johnston) Barber. Ms. Barber was a long time resident of the Dallas, Texas area, a retired accountant and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her brothers, Dewayne Barber (Paulette) and Golden Barber (Paula); sisters, Wilma Barber McAlister (Henry), Willie Barber Millard (Bill) and Joy Barber Grubbs (Bobby); numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Riley Barber.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Velvet Ridge Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Velvet Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
