Fort Smith — Sylvan Threlkeld Jr., 68, of Fort Smith died Friday at a Fort Smith hospital. Born April, 16, 1906 in Marion, Ky., he was the son of Thomas S. and Nellie Yandell Threlkeld, a factory representative of Trinity Carpet Co., a Mason and a Protestant.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ruby Threlkeld of the home; a son, Tom of Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Wagner of Little Rock and Mrs. Ruby Ryles of Anchorage, Alaska; four brothers, Paul, Ray and Charles, all of Fayetteville and Brownie of Royal Oak, Mich., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Edwards Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at 3:30 p.m. in the West Fork Cemetery in West Fork.
