August 30, 1941 - December 13, 2014
Richard Marion Shankle, 73, of Bartlett, TN and formerly of Camden, AR died Saturday, December 13, 2014. He was born August 30, 1941 in Camden. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a contractor in Camden and Memphis, TN for over forty years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN and was foremost a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Shankle was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Helen Shankle and his brother Mike Shankle. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Shankle of Bartlett, TN, his son Ricky Shankle and wife Cathi of Bartlett, TN, two daughters Susan Shankle of Bartlett, TN and Beth Smith and husband Terrie of Camden, AR. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Ryan Shankle, Payton Smith and Aaron Shankle.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. Reverend Carly Davis will officiate. The family will be at 1239 Apache Drive in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To sign the online guest register visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
