James Everett Humes, 54, of Bald Knob, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at White County Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1960 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Martha (Mason) Humes and the late Junior Humes. James was a fun, loving, family man that was always cracking jokes and taking time to play with the kids. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Velvet Ridge Church of God and he loved the Lord.
Survivors include his wife Karen Humes; a son, James Anthony Humes; his mother, Martha Humes; two sisters, Karen Humes Yarbrough and husband Jerry and Brenda Humes Horton; a brother, Keith Humes and wife Debra. He is preceded in death by his father, a brother, Dale Humes and a sister, Connie Ann Humes.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Velvet Ridge Church of God at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Corley, Bro. Larry Cox and Bro. Doug Swindle officiating. Interment will follow in Velvet Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Lung Association: 217 West 2nd Street, Suite 105, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
