Earnest Gilbert, 75, of Judsonia passed away Monday, January 5th at White County Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1939 in Russell, Arkansas to the late Walter and Effie (Hancock) Gilbert.
Earnest was a member of The Way of the Cross Church. He was also an avid fisherman. Earnest was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gilbert of Judsonia; five sons, Walter Gilbert of Dripping Springs, Gene Gilbert of Bradford, Robert Gilbert of Cabot, Charles Lynn Gilbert of Judsonia, and Earnest Lee Gilbert of Russell; three daughters, Eva Fisher of Cabot, Kathleen Sapp of Judsonia, and Marinda Weems of Bald Knob; one brother, Carlton Gilbert of Judsonia; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Earnest was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Charles Gilbert; and one sister, Louise Wilford.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, January 9th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Graveside services will start at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9th at Velvet Ridge Cemetery.
