ROGERS — Esley Lathen Cox, age 45, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in Rogers. He was born Oct. 20, 1965, in Borger, Texas, to Esley William and JoAnn Roberts Cox.

Lathen was an avid hunter and sportsman and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christi Jane Cox.

Lathen is survived by his wife, Laurie Cox of the home; two daughters, Teresa Diane Mangold of Rogers and Rebecca Ann Barrett and husband Josh of Farmington; three brothers, Bill Cox and wife Nancy of California, Dennis Cox and wife Rena of Fritch, Texas, and Ronny Cox and wife Caroline of Hindsville; his parents, Esley and JoAnn Cox of Hindsville; four brothers-in-law, Floyd Phillips and wife Wanda of Bentonville, Don Phillips and wife Jane of Cave Springs, Danny Phillips and wife Wanda of Tulsa, Okla., and Charles Schmitz and wife Carol of Tonganoxie, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Euva Phillips of Springdale; and three grandchildren, Riley Mangold, Kaylee Mangold and Ayden Olivarez.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moore's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2857 N. Old Missouri Road in Fayetteville. Burial will be in the Clifty Cemetery under the directions of Moore's Chapel Funeral Home.
