Lahoma “Nanny” Bare, age 92 of Greenbrier, Arkansas died Monday, February 26th, 2007. She was born February 9th, 1915 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to the late John B. and Fannie Gamble Franklin. Her husband of 25 years, Quincy Bare and nine brothers and sisters preceded her death. Lahoma had retired from Safeway Food Stores as a checker/cashier after 20 plus years of employment in California before moving to Greenbrier. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Greenbrier for 25 years. Nanny was a good mother and grandmother who loved her grand children and the time she spent with them, was always happy and was never heard voicing a complaint about anything.
She is survived by her daughters: Norma Hill of Greenbrier and Jan Hayes of Weaverville, California; granddaughters: Lisa Brown (husband David) of Greenbrier and Paula Lock (husband Billy) of Gleenwood, and Pam, Diane, Linda, Sandy and Kathy all of California; thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, her sister: Fannie Caldwell of Henford, California and by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m., March 2nd at the Faith Baptist Church of Greenbrier officiated by Bro. Timothy Lapp with burial in Faith Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501.679.2575).
Pallbearers are: Billy Lock, David Brown, Ryan Brown, Austin Padgett, Todd Brown and Brian Henderson.
