When Elizabeth "Bessie" Lee Gilpen Hinson was born in August 1880 in Madison, Louisiana, her father, James, was 27, and her mother, Rachel, was 27. She married Forrest Lyman Hinson on December 25, 1900. They had five children in 15 years. She died on September 20, 1933, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 53, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.

When Forrest Lyman Hinson was born on April 4, 1876, his father, Lyman, was 30 and his mother, Virginia, was 25. He married Elizabeth "Bessie" Lee Gilpen Hinson on December 25, 1900. They had five children in 15 years. He died on March 6, 1937, in Kensett, Arkansas, at the age of 60, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.
