Mary was the daughter of William Joseph Pate and his wife, Smithey B. Cotton. She married John A. Brown and lived near West Point, AR. She was a homemaker.

dies at home
at West Point

Mrs. Mary Louvenia Brown 90 of West Point, passed away today at her home. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, William J. Brown of Pontiac, Michigan, and Dave Brown of Bald Knob; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Powell of West Point, and Mrs. Earl Johnson of West Point; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-children.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Daniel Chapel by E.C. Pearrow. Interment will be in West Point Cemetery by Daniel Funeral Home.

When John Alfred Brown was born on May 26, 1851, in Vandalia, Illinois, his father, John, was 58 and his mother, Mary, was 29. He was married three times and had ten children. He died on January 16, 1941, in West Point, Arkansas, at the age of 89.

John Alfred Brown married Mary Daugherty on September 13, 1896, when he was 45 years old.
