Mr. Billy Reed Dove, 84, of Ashdown, AR passed away on October 1, 2013 in Texarkana, Texas.
Mr. Dove was born August 22, 1929 in Yellow Creek, AR. to Roy & Eunice Dove. He was a Graduate of North Heights Class of 1946, a Korean War Veteran, Lifelong paper industry worker. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Ashdown, AR.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Forrest Dove; great grandson, Dane W. Reed Thompson.
He is survived by the love of his life of 60 years, Shirley Dove of Ashdown, AR; one son , Billy E. Dove of Ashdown, AR; two daughters & sons-in-law, Patty & William Cunningham of Hobbs, NM, Cindy & Gary Powell of Ashdown, AR; two sisters, Grace Sims of Dallas, TX, Helen Wooten of Wake Village, Texas; two grandson, Barry Thompson & wife Lora of Conway, AR, Blake Powell of Ashdown, AR; and two great-granddaughters, Abby & Aubrey.
Visitation will be Thursday October 3, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Madden Funeral Home in the Chapel in Ashdown, AR.
Funeral Services will be Friday October 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at Madden Funeral Home in the Chapel in Ashdown, AR with David Formby officiating.
Burial will follow at the Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, AR.
