When Lucy shupp vandyne was born on June 14, 1924, her father, George, was 40, and her mother, Stella, was 35. She married William Henry Vandyne in Columbus, Mississippi. They had one child during their marriage. She died in November 1985 in West Point, Arkansas, at the age of 61.
