When Houston D Durnal was born on April 24, 1905, in Arkansas, his father, James, was 34 and his mother, Nancy, was 35. He married Nancy Viola Wise and they had one son together. He also had three children from another relationship. He died on September 12, 1969, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.
