Jessie Robert James, age 64, of Gravelly died Friday, March 13, 1981, at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville.
Mr James was a native of Blue Ball, son of the late Perry James and Mrs. Lessie James of Bluffton. He was a farmer stock man, and member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fair James of the home; two sons, John R. James of Hughes and Joe Glenn James of the home; his mother, Mrs. Lessie Hunt James of Bluffton; four brothers, Lyn James of Blue Ball, Cecil James and Gene James both of Gravelly, and Perry James, Jr. of Bluffton; two sisters, Mrs. Luara Fowler of Roseburg, OR and Mrs. Sadie Fowler of Danville; also several nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, in the Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Danville, with Bro. Luther Riddle officiating.
Interment was in the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville.
