Frank B. Curtis, 94, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 his 94th birthday. Frank was born on July 26, 1924 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Lewis Howard and Sarah Cassie (Seay) Curtis. Frank received a Bachelor of Science degree from Harding University. Frank preached his first sermon on February 14, 1943. He spent his life serving the Lord for 75 years. He did mission work in China then worked with two congregations in California until moving to Mountain View in 1974. He and Earlina worked at School Avenue Church of Christ for 44 years. Frank held meetings, did weekly radio lessons, and helped start Sierra Bible Camp and Sierra Children's Home in California. He served as counselor and teacher at Green Valley Bible Camp after moving to Arkansas. Frank also served as Hospice Chaplin from 1993-2007.
Frank is survived by his wife of 71 years, Earlina (McGee) Curtis; one son, Royce Curtis and wife Kathy of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Irene Hudkins and husband Art of Battlefield, Missouri and Diane Corum and husband Gary of Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers, Burl Curtis and wife Evelyn of Searcy, Arkansas and Ervin Curtis and wife Johnnie Pauline of Lead Hill, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Alan Corum, Sean Hudkins and wife Emily, Kevin Corum and wife Anita, Bryan Hudkins and wife Carrie, Eric Hudkins and wife Heather, Christine Curtis-Carr and husband Brandon, Amanda Martin and husband Kyle, Elizabeth Curtis-Svoboda and husband Chris; seventeen great-grandchildren, Brasen, Brady, Lakin, Hayden, Logan, Miles, Karis, Joshua, Aidan, Shepherd, Alex, Noah, Ethan, Olivia, Penelope, Calista, and Layna; as well as many extended family and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Howard and Sarah Cassie (Seay) Curtis; two brothers, Harl and Dean Curtis; sister, Bernice Weaver and one grandson, Brian Corum.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the School Avenue Church of Christ in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with son Royce Curtis and son-in-law, Gary Corum officiating. Interment is at Fredonia Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Alan Corum, Kevin Corum, Sean Hudkins, Bryan Hudkins, Eric Hudkins, Brandon Carr, and Kyle Martin.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
