Mr. Lee "Whit" Dicus, 83, of Montgomery, TX., passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at home. Mr. Dicus was born in Knobel, AR. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a retired warehouseman and worked for General Electric and Pennzoil, he enjoyed fishing and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corning, AR.

He married his wife Amanda (Hettel) Dicus on April 14, 1950.

She survives, other survivors include two daughters Janet and husband Brian Frankilin of Houston, TX., Jean and husband Bill Wallwin of Cypress, TX.; three brothers Howard Dicus of Jonesboro, AR., Dean Dicus of Cahokia, IL., Jimmie Dicus of Cahokia, IL.; two sisters Lannie Haller of Paragould, AR., Mary Myers of La Verne, CA.; three grandchildren William Wallwin, IV., Emily Lovejoy Wallwin, Lee Wallwin.; three great-grandchildren William Wallwin, V., Cameron Wallwin, Benjamin Lovejoy.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Dica Florence (Garrison) Dicus.; three brothers Thomas Dicus, Lorin Dicus, Billie Dicus.; two sisters Ruth Dicus and Rose Gerdes.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danna Alberts officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
