When George A Higginbothamn was born on September 2, 1893, in Missouri, his father, Andrew, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 23. He married Ollie Lee Lucas Higginbotham on March 12, 1936, in Craighead, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. He died in April 1976 in Arkansas at the age of 82, and was buried in Lepanto, Arkansas.

When Ollie Lee Lucas Higginbotham was born on March 5, 1898, in Texas, her father, David, was 38, and her mother, Rosetta, was 25. She married Samuel Andrew Lucas (1892–1933) and they had seven children together. She then married George A Higginbothn and they had one son together. She died on January 30, 1997, at the age of 98.
