When Frances Elizabeth Wilson was born on September 27, 1857, in Byhalia, Mississippi, her father, William, was 46, and her mother, Mary, was 26. She married Thomas Walton Roberson on February 1, 1879, in her hometown. They had nine children in 12 years. She died on December 22, 1943, in Lepanto, Arkansas, at the age of 86.
