Leo Loyd Griffin

Leo Loyd Griffin, 71, of Batesville, AR, died at the Batesville Health Care Center in Batesville. He was born on Sept. 29, 1936, at Lexa, AR, the son of the late Otto and Mildred Griffin.

He was a US Army veteran, and retired from Con Agra Foods in Batesville and was a member of the Desha First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty Ann Griffin; one son, Dacey Derrick Griffin; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Horace Griffin and Johnny Griffin; and one sister, Evon Shelby.

Funeral services were held March 7 at the Desha First Baptist Church in Desha with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville, AR, with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers were Brett Farris, Mark Faser, Keith Harmon, Lee Harmon, David Kerlin and Dloyd Sparks.

Honorary pallbearers were Dan Moody, Max Edwards, Glen Willis, Tim Hicks and Fred Bufford.

Betty Ann Griffin Grigsby, 80 of Batesville passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020. She was born January 22, 1940 in Lexa, Arkansas to Forest and Iva Dale Cox. She was a retired beautician and a member of Desha First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Leo Griffin and Royce Grigsby and one sister, Bonnie Meiers Gibson.

Survivors include one son, Dacey Griffin and one sister, Agnes Ginn of both of Lexa, AR; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until 9:45 at the funeral home.
