Cecil "Toots" Wilson, 94, of Portia, died Oct. 25, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born March 10, 1912, in the Lauratown community, he was the son of Alexander and Polly Ann Higginbotham Wilson. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Isma Charlotte Stewart Wilson, whom he married on Nov. 5, 1932, at Lauratown; six brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, William E. Wilson, Walnut Ridge, and Charles Wilson, Smithville; three daughters, Ruth Lee Nixon, McDougal, and Anna Sheets and Fern Shelton, both of Portia; 22 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is tonight from 6 to 8 in Higginbotham Chapel.

Funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. in Higginbotham Chapel. Burial will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery at Lynn under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Isma Charlotta "Bobbie" Wilson, age 90, of Portia, died Feb. 26, 2001, at Lawrence Hall.

Born Nov. 11, 1910, at Eaton, she was the daughter of William and Leona Richey Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Black Rock Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Wilson, whom she married Nov. 5, 1932 at Lauratown; two sons, W.E. Wilson, Walnut Ridge, and Charles Wilson, Smithville; three daughters, Ruthie Lee Nixon, House Springs, Mo., Anna Sheets, Ellsinore, Mo., and Fern Shelton, Portia; a brother, Otho Stewart, Shafter, Calif.; a sister, Christine Mashburn, Black Rock; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was to be this afternoon at 2 at Higginbotham Chapel with Steve Prestidge officiating. Burial was to be in Old Lebanon Cemetery at Lynn under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
