When Thomas Howard Davis was born on March 3, 1832, in Telfair, Georgia, his father, John, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He married Louisa Christina Copeland and they had ten children together. He then married Tommie Mattie Holloway and they had six children together. He died on December 8, 1902, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, at the age of 70, and was buried there.

Married: (1)Louisa Christiana Copeland, daughter of Isaac & Elizabeth Wilson Copeland, married November 17, 1857 in Barbour County, Alabama.
(2)Thomas Mattie Holloway, daughter of William & Anne Watkins Holloway, married on July 14, 1886 in White County, Arkansas.

Thomas served with Company K, 7th Confederate Cavalry. Moved to Rose Bud in late 1870. Married to first wife by his brother, William Mooney Davis.
