Mr H.J. Jones, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the John Cochran V.A. Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. Mr. Jones was born in Arbyrd, MO., on September 22, 1929. Mr. Jones was owner and operator of Brakenridge Upholstery. He enjoyed studying his Bible, fishing, and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Moark Baptist Church.

He married his wife of 57 years Nina Marie (Prince) Jones on September 15, 1951. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2009.

He is survived by three children Brenda Gifford of Farris, TX., Lesa White of Corning, AR., John Johns and wife Kim of Branson, MO.; two brothers Jim Jones, Bill Jones, four sisters Lora Mae O'Neal, Linda Anderson, Della Mae Donaldson, Betty Ann Shriner; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Henry Jackson and Bertha Mae (Hyslip) Jones and one daughter Norma Greear.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Dustin Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
