Wheelock Lamb was born on June 13, 1861, in Indiana, the son of Marilla and Solomon. He married Sophia Mnu Lamb and they had three children together. He also had one son with Katy Wagenast. He died on January 29, 1922, in Poinsett, Arkansas, at the age of 60, and was buried in Lepanto, Arkansas.
