When Dorothy Sue Abbott was born on June 6, 1942, in Lepanto, Arkansas, her father, Lewis, was 28, and her mother, Nancy, was 21. She married on December 23, 1973, in her hometown. She had one child during her marriage. She died on February 12, 2009, in Lepanto, Arkansas, at the age of 66, and was buried there.
