When James "Jimmy" Hubert Hunt was born on April 22, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, his father, James, was 24 and his mother, Sarah, was 24. He married on September 28, 1984. He had one child during his marriage. He died on April 12, 2007, in Lepanto, Arkansas, at the age of 50, and was buried there.
