December 12, 1899 - October 14, 1977
Ernest Dwight Taylor, 77, a native of Bearden, died Friday at a nursing home in Little Rock. Funeral services were to be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Sardis Methodist Church with burial in the Sardis Cemetery by the Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and a Methodist. He is survived by one son, Lewis W. "Buck" Taylor of Curtis; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Wages of Bearden, Mrs. Earnestine Hodges of Little Rock and Mrs. Carolyn Hooper of Sparkman; two brothers, Herman Taylor of Camden and Dewey Taylor of Bearden; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Reagan and Mrs. Ruth Coston, both of Bearden and Mrs. Ethel Launius of Fordyce; and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
