Martin Carl Westvang, age 80, of Oxford, Arkansas was born on December 26, 1936 in Everett, Washington, son of Sverre Austin and Sarah Marie (Pophan) Westvang. He departed this life on November 8, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.

Martin was united in marriage to Dyan Alice Dargitz on March 10, 1973 in Yakima, Washington. Martin spent his working years as a truck driver and attended Oxford Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Air Force and the National Guard. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Martin is survived by his wife; Dyan Westvang of Oxford, Arkansas; son, Vance Westvang of Sidney, Arkansas; four daughters, Danielle Hayward and husband Jeremy of Ozark, Arkansas, Roberta Kruse of Oklahoma, Sonia Westvang of Omak, Washington, Jane Orchard of Newmarket, England; sister, Marie Scott of Marysville, Washington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son (Martin Kruse), daughter (Cheri Westvang), six brothers and two sisters.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
