Thomas Carl Carter, 94, of West Fork, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 1995, at West Fork. Born Sept. 6, 1900, at West Fork, the son of Garland and Ada Lathram Carter, he was a retired merchant and cattle rancher. He was a member of the original Washington County Hospital Board, the County Board of Equalization and was president of the West Fork Cemetery Association. He was in the first West Fork High School graduating class and was a member of the West Fork United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are three sisters, Thelma Williams of Boyne City, Mich., Mary Threlkeld of Fayetteville and Nell Ray of West Fork; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Fork United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Harold G. Hutcheson and the Rev. Gary Burney officiating. Burial is in West Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel. Memorials may be made to the West Fork Cemetery Association, c/o Larry Bilbrey, P.O. Box 137, West Fork 72774, or West Fork United Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 134, West Fork 72774.
