Mrs. Lester Lindsey, aged 42, died at the Camden Hospital at 6:35 this morning. She had lived in Salem Community near Bearden, practically all her life. She is survived by her husband, eight daughters, Mrs. Virgil Johnson of Camden, and the Misses Betty Jean, Patsy Ruth, Martha Ann, Laura Jane, Dorothy Sue, Doris Louise, and Gladys Marie, of the home, Camden, Route 4; three sons, Buddy and Jessie Ray of the home, Henry Owen of the U.S. Army, station in Japan; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Pedron, White City; two sisters, Mrs. George C. Owen and Mrs. Garland Smith, Camden; three brothers, Jewell Williamson, White City, Johnnie Williamson and James R. Pedron, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at Salem Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Otis Reddin of Hampton. Proctors in charge. (Camden News - January 7, 1947)
