Rev. J. Hillman Byram
June 2, 1927 - July 25, 2009

Rev. J. Hillman Byram, 82, of Conway, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2009. Born in Izard County, on June 2, 1927, he was a son to the late Jordan A. and Nola (Gilland) Byram. Rev. Byram had been a United Methodist minister for over 61 years, serving 53 churches in the North Arkansas Conference and was past minister of Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway. He earned his BS at Arkansas College (Lyon) and his Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University. He was a member of the Navy M.A.R.S. for over 45 years and the Faulkner County Amateur Radio Club and was a Navy Veteran.

His parents and a brother, Duane Byram preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marie (Wiles) Byram; sons Tom (Bonnie) Byram of College Station, TX and Don (Cecile) of Watkinsville, GA; five grandchildren: Hannah, Joseph, Mary, George, and Charlotte, and numerous friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 28, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway with Rev. David Hoffman officiating.

The interment service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, AR.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27 at Roller McNutt Funeral in Conway, AR.

Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway or Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church in Izard County.

Marie Katherine Byram, 90, of Conway, passed away, July 20, 2018. She was born in Zion, AR to the late Owen and Eva Butler Wiles. Marie was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, J. Hillman Byram, brother, Thomas Ancil Wiles, sister, Janada Wiles Rice, great grandson, Jude Byram.

Marie is survived by sons, Thomas Duane Byram of College Station, TX, Don Alan Byram of Conway, daughters-in-law, Bonnie and Cecile Byram, grandchildren, Hannah Byram Harney, Mary Byram Washburn, George Byram, Joseph Byram, and Charlotte Byram, great grandchildren, Rosemarie Washburn, Benedict Byram, Henry Byram, Isla Harney, and Penelope Washburn.

Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Friday, July 27, 2018 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway. Burial will follow at 2:30PM at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
