Ronald Brooks Lewis, age 79, of Buckner, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Life Touch Hospice. He was born February 19, 1940 to Brooks and Emma Lee Lewis.
He was a member of Kilgore Lodge Church, served in the Army Reserve for 6 years in which he was called to active duty during the Cuban missile crisis. Ronald was a self-employed carpenter. He retired from Southern Arkansas University physical plant. Ronald enjoyed raising cows, gardening and wood working. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Lewis; two sons, Billy Lewis and wife, Tanya of Little Rock, AR and Mike Lancaster and wife, Kathryn of McNeil, AR; two daughters, Ginger Cook and husband, Terry of Magnolia, AR and Angie Brown and husband, Matt of El Dorado, AR; three sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Magnolia, AR, Norma Rudd and husband Jerrall of Magnolia, AR and Delores Sprayberry and husband, Junior of Buckner, AR; ten grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. John David Wade officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm before the service. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, AR.
