Funeral services for Walter Turner Harwood, age 66, who died at his home Dec. 2, were held at Huntsville today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Brashears Funeral Home. Burial was in the Huntsville cemetery with the local funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harwood was born June 27, 1881 in Madison county and was a life-long resident of the Huntsville vicinity. He was the son of William and Elsie Boatright-Harwood.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah Harwood of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Chloe Dean and Mrs. Ora Burgess, both of Huntsville; and Mrs. Roa Armstrong, Wichita, Hans., seven grandchildren and many friends and relatives, a son, Elmer, died about eight years ago.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Fiant pastor of the Assembly of God Church, and Rev. Kermit VanZant, Methodist pastor, both of Huntsville.
Pall bearers were Jim Warren, Clay McBroom, W. E. McElhaney, John Moses, Arnold Sikes and Dewey Harris.
